Soul's Remnant Builds: Skills, Stats & Echoes (No Classes)

Quick answer: Soul's Remnant is a classless free-to-play 2D MMORPG in Early Access — follow the verified steps below for this topic.
Overview
Soul's Remnant has no classes. Any character can equip any gear and learn any skill from the four lines — melee, range, magic and faith — so your build is the combination of stat points, skill choices and echoes you assemble.
Nothing at character creation locks you in, and you can rebuild whenever the respec rules allow: respecs are free before level 10 and cost a small currency fee afterwards.
The six stats
| Stat | What it boosts |
|---|---|
| STR | Melee damage. |
| DEX | Range damage. |
| INT | Magic damage. |
| SPR | Faith and your MP pool. |
| CON | HP, defense and HP regeneration. |
| LUK | Crit (and range). |
How to build one
- Step label — Pick the skill line you enjoy — melee, range, magic or faith.
- Step label — Match your main stat to that line: STR / DEX / INT / SPR.
- Step label — Follow the 3:1 rule players use — roughly 25–30% of points into CON, the rest into your damage stat. Survivability beats damage in the level 20+ zones like Spooky Forest and Sulfur Plains, so lean harder on CON past level 20.
- Step label — Roll echoes onto your gear with souls (see the echo guide) — keep at least two echo lines per piece.
- Step label — Test spreads freely in the free respec window before level 10.
Builds players actually run
Launch-week players converged on a few favourites: a melee-plus-faith paladin for solo play (heal, revitalize and burst shield reflection), a DEX+LUK crit archer aiming for around 100 luck, and magic-melee hybrids that mix magic blade skills into melee. Treat them as starting points, not official builds.
Note: disassembling echoes now requires Alchemy level 15 — a launch change from the playtest — so start alchemy early if you plan to break echoes down.
