Soul's Remnant Crafting: Professions, Card Minigame & Recipes

Overview

Soul's Remnant has eight crafting professions, and the whole system opens with the comma key [,]. Every recipe's materials and level requirement are visible from the start, so nothing is hidden — you always know what to farm and how far you are from making an item.

Most crafts play out as a card-based minigame: you pick one of three cards per turn (or spend a reroll for a new set) until your turns run out, and the finished item keeps the stats and echoes you crafted onto it.

The professions

How the card minigame works

1. Step label — The item preview shows current stats and echoes; most crafts start with low stats and no echoes.
2. Step label — You always see three cards; pick one to apply its effect, or spend a reroll for a new set.
3. Step label — Percentage boosts use a closing-the-gap system: a +50% card moves the stat halfway to its maximum, not 50% of its current value.
4. Step label — Cooking is the exception — its stats count as already maximum, so cards calculate from the current value.
5. Step label — Profession levels unlock recipes and add turns and rerolls; some crafts are instant (most Alchemy) or support Auto Craft.

Why crafting matters

Life skills feed your build: Alchemy grants +1 Max HP every 4 levels and +1 Max MP every 6, Weapon Smithing gives damage balance and armor pen at breakpoints, and gathering skills (mining, fishing, herbalism) run timed key-press minigames and unlock node materials. Crafted gear and meals carry your character's name — the maker name stays visible through player shops and trades.

Tip: overleveling a recipe — crafting at a higher level than required — raises your chance of rolling echoes on the result.
