Stuck on the First Platform in the Tutorial: How to Pass

Overview

The first platform puzzle in the Soul's Remnant tutorial stops a lot of new players. The game does not spell out the mechanic clearly, and launch-day crowds made the confusion worse. The fix is a single key combination.

How to pass it

1. Step label — Stand on the first platform in the tutorial area.
2. Step label — Press the down key and jump at the same time.
3. Step label — Your character drops through the platform below.
4. Step label — Continue the shepherd's tutorial chain from there.

What to watch out for

This is a movement mechanic, not a bug — many players mistook it for one on launch day. The same down-plus-jump input is used for similar drop-through platforms elsewhere in the game.

Tip: the tutorial chain only takes a few minutes once you are past the first platforms — push through the early steps quickly.
